Margot Robbie: from Neighbours girl to Calvin Klein face

Aussie actress Margot Robbie has enjoyed quite the career trajectory. And along the way, she's also managed to ditch mullet-hemmed Logies monstrosities for knockout Tom Ford gowns.
How does one make it in Hollywood these days? If you're Gold Coast-bred Margot Robbie, it takes a couple of seriously sexy scenes in a Martin Scorsese/Leonardo DiCaprio flick and... boom! You're on your way. It's been just two years since the bubbly former Neighbours blonde broke out in The Wolf of Wall Street, but since then she's earned herself the title of Hollywood's hottest young thing, and has swiftly drawn the attention of designers of Miuccia Prada, Tom Ford and Calvin Klein's ilk. Oh, and did we mention she has three major films out this year: Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Suicide Squad and The Legend of Tarzan. In fact, so successful is Margot's transformation from soapie star to A-lister, she recently scored a lucrative gig as the face of Calvin Klein's new fragrance campaign.
But like so many other It-girl millennials (ahem, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez), Margot wasn't always sitting next to Anna Wintour at Givenchy shows and wearing Tom Ford to the Oscars. Nope. A quick flick through the archives will show you exactly how essential a Hollywood stylist really is. From the frou-frou black and orange frills of the number Margot wore to the 2009 Logie Awards to her later cutesy floral frock days in LA in 2011, you can actually pinpoint the moment when Margot nabbed herself a stylist. While we're sure the global press juggernaut of The Wolf of Wall Street worked wonders for her too, we have to applaud the girl for her chic yet sensual red-carpet choices of late, as well as her unabashed love of a perfectly tailored suit. And judging from last week's Calvin Klein Collection and Tiffany cuff Met Gala ensemble, we'd say this is one Gold Coast gal who has finally arrived.
