The wedding of the son of a Russian oligarch and PAOK FC owner Ivan Savvidis was named by the Greek journalists the wedding of the year. Russian-born Greek businessman and politician of Greek origin Savvidis is one of wealthiest men of Russia.
Savvidis family lives in Rostov, but its roots come from Greek village of Santa in Georgia, therefore heirs of a businessman were named Georgis and Nikos, and Ivan Savvidis is the president of the national-cultural autonomy of Russian Greeks.
The bride of 24-year old George Savvidis there was the it-girl Yana Khudyakova. The young couple got married in the church of the Holy Spirit in Thessaloniki. The bride went down the aisle in a luxurious dress by Elie Saab Haute Couture, embroidered with pearls and crystals.
The wedding of George Savvidis and Yana Khudyakova was attended by 600 distinguished guests. Among the guests were seen politicians and athletes, stars of Russian show business. Among the famous people were former Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis, The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos, Mayor of Thessaloniki Yiannis Boutaris, Theodoros "Theo" Zagorakis.
The wedding reception took place at the Makedonia Palace Hotel Tsessaloniki, where the couple and the guests partied all night.
Well-known artists, including Grigory Leps and Basta entertained the guests at a wedding party. Also the event was attended by Andrei Malakhov, Soso Pavliashvili and Katie Topuriya. However, not only the happy couple has been the focus of camera lenses: the bride's mother amazed by her magnificence, so that no one could believe that such a young mother has a grown-up daughter.
