Valentina Sampaio's achievement can indeed be called a breakthrough - especially after Victoria's Secret marketing director Ed Razek spoke out against the participation of transgender people in filming. He announced this in November 2018. However, when faced with harsh criticism, the man apologized:

"To be clear, we would definitely choose a transgender model for our show."

And he added that transgender people had already come to the casting. Charlize Theron confirms her 7-year-old daughter is transgender According to the movie star, her child himself decided what gender he was.

Valentina Sampaio was born a boy, but at the age of 8 she realized that her real gender was female. At the age of 10, she began to call herself a girl and took a female name for herself. In addition to modeling, Sampaio studies architecture at the university. She became the first openly transgender model to appear on the cover of Vogue.
