At the end of last year, the filming of a new adaptation of Bulgakov's novel The Master and Margarita, called Woland, ended. The director was Mikhail Lokshin, winner of the Golden Eagle 2021 award for the film Silver Skates. And today, the first teaser of the upcoming film appeared on the network.
Actors Yulia Snigir and Evgeny Tsyganov, who are a couple in real life and raise a five-year-old son, this time again ended up on the same set: she is in the role of Margarita, he is the Master. The role of Woland was played by the German actor August Diehl. The cast of the picture is impressive: the image of Koroviev was embodied by Yuri Kolokolnikov, Dr. Stravinsky was played by Leonid Yarmolnik, Alexander Yatsenko - Aloisy Mogarych, Alexei Guskov - Meigel, Marat Basharov - Likhodeeva, Polina Aug - Gella. Recall that the filming of a new film adaptation of the legendary novel by Mikhail Bulgakov began in Julylast year. The plot of the film "Woland" takes place in Moscow in the 1930s. A famous writer on the rise of his career suddenly finds himself at the center of a literary scandal. The performance based on his play is removed from the repertoire, colleagues defiantly avoid meeting, in a matter of days he turns into an outcast. Soon after, he meets Margarita, who becomes his lover and muse. Inspired by her love and support, the writer takes on a new novel, where the characters are people from his environment, and the main character is the mysterious Woland, whose prototype is a recent acquaintance of a foreigner. The writer plunges headlong into the world of his novel and gradually ceases to notice how fiction and reality are intertwined into one.
The film “Woland” will be released on January 1, 2023.
