"McMafia" and "War and Peace" star James Norton visited St. Petersburg
The star of "War and Peace" and "McMafia" came to Russia to present the film "One on One" directed by Uberto Pasolini. One on One tells the story of John, a window cleaner, who is single-handedly raising his four-year-old son, Michael. Suddenly, the guy receives devastating news: he has only a few months left to live. During this time, he needs to find a future family for his son and take care of the child, while not losing heart and not succumbing to panic. "One on One" is a film-journey of father and son - from family to family, from house to house - where parent-child attachment is tested by priceless moments of rapprochement. The movie delicately talks about what is not customary to talk about - about death and responsibility, about honesty and respect for the younger, about the striking differences between people with different upbringings and incomes.
The director of the film Uberto Pasolini is the nephew of the great Italian director Luchino Visconti. Pasolini's production work includes the cult comedy The Male Striptease and the film adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's Beloved Friend with Robert Pattinson. As a director, he directed the films Friendship and Stopped Life, both films participated in the Venice Film Festival.
British actor James Norton is best known for his roles as Andrei Bolkonsky in the BBC adaptation of War and Peace, Alex Goldman in the McMafia series, and John Brook in Greta Gerwig's Little Women.
The film will be released in Russian film distribution on January 27, and in early February it will be exclusively available on the Wink video service.
