Russian figure skater Alina Zagitova talked about her relationship with two-time Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu, announced the show of her new short program and for a few seconds appeared in the form of Cleopatra. Meanwhile, Evgenia Medvedeva, who in the last month disappeared from the whole world and went headlong into training, was struck by an unexpected photo with a guy.

Alina Zagitova spends a busy time in Japan, where she arrived to participate in the ice show The Ice. The tour will take place from July 27 to August 4, and ahead of the tour, the Olympic champion attended an official meeting with the country's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, at which she spoke mostly about her dog Masaru.

Now, videos from entertainment programs have begun to appear, to which the skater is actively invited by local television people, taking advantage of her short stay in Japan.

On the air of one of the programs, Zagitova made an important announcement - at the upcoming ice show, for the first time she will show viewers a short program for the 2019 season/20 to the lyrical composition "Me Voy" ("I'm leaving" in translation from Spanish).

“I will skate my new short program. Many famous skaters will perform at the show with me, and it will be very interesting, ”said the athlete. The Olympic champion did the same before the 2018/19 season - her short program to the music from The Phantom of the Opera was first seen by the Japanese audience during the show. True, then she performed with the wrong hairstyle and in the wrong dress that during the competitive season, so in this case, the figure skater's image is likely to undergo big changes by the fall.

In addition, most of Zagitova's short number could already be seen in the announcement of Channel One. Shooting another program for Japanese television seemed to shock Zagitova. It began with the fact that the presenter got on the bus with her and began to perform the song in a completely male voice. During an impromptu concert, the skater did a facepalm, but then assured her that she was very funny. Already in the studio, the athlete watched a few more exotic numbers from other performers before she was asked the first question - of course, about the local idol, two-time Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu.

- Do you have a good relationship with him? You are friends? - the presenters were asking.

- Well yes. I communicate well with him, '' Zagitova answered embarrassedly, which caused universal delight and understanding sighs.

- What do you usually talk about?

- When I was training ice jumping with Yuzuru, and I was good at it, he clapped. And if it was not very good, then he did it like this, - the skater made a grimace and brought her fingers together in such a gesture, as if she were measuring something microscopic. - I miss the type a little.

Thus, the communication between a Russian woman and a Japanese person takes place mainly on gestures, which is not surprising: Zagitova does not speak English very well, and Hanyu, of course, does not know Russian. Actually, this was the end of the conversation between the presenters and the Olympic champion: the remaining airtime in the studio was danced by huge chickens, and ads were spinning.

While Zagitova was attending programs in Japan, the choreographer of the Eteri Tutberidze group, Daniil Gleichengauz, posted on Instagram a video with the beginning of her new free program, where the skater will appear in the guise of Cleopatra, the ruler of Egypt.

The performance begins with elegant rotations - first in one direction, then in the other, after which the skater freezes with her hand extended, as if asking to be left alone.

The measured oriental instrumental "The Feeling Begins" by composer Peter Gabriel is playing in the background. In addition to the first seconds of Zagitova's program, in the Gleichengauz post you can see the beginning of the performances of all Tutberidze's students - including Alexandra Trusova, Anna Shcherbakova, Alena Kostornaya and Elizabeth Tursynbaeva. There were also shots from the program of a very promising junior Kamila Valieva, who last season received rave reviews from her granddaughter Pablo Picasso for her skating in the image of a girl on a ball from the artist's painting of the same name.

As it turned out, in the new sporting year Valieva will perform with the Muse composition “Exogenesis: Symphony Part 3”. Evgenia Medvedeva chose the same one for her short program. This coincidence looks funny against the backdrop of spring showdowns with Zagitova's demonstrative number for Billie Eilish's Bad Guy, which Medvedeva previously called one of her favorites and, according to rumors, planned to put her own performance under her.

"He's only 15"

How does Evgenia Medvedeva spend her summer? She took part in two large-scale touring tours - in Canada and Japan, and since the end of June she has completely focused on the training process. Medvedeva will not have as many shows as Zagitova, who has taken all possible titles in figure skating and can now relax a little.

Currently, the athlete is actively trying to master the quadruple salchow and rolls new programs. Photos from a rare holiday appear on her instagram only sometimes. So, one weekend Medvedeva went to pick strawberries ... … And spent the other one with the Moldovan figure skater Lilian Bynzar. The guy trains with her at the Toronto Cricket Club and last season he played in the junior Grand Prix series - albeit without much success.

The joint photos show how young people are sitting on the balcony at a table and laughing at something, and then posing for a picture, huddled closely to each other.

It is not surprising that in the comments, subscribers have already begun to speculate about the romantic relationship of the skaters.

Medvedeva replied to this briefly: "Um ... he is 15".
