Precious interview with Bvlgari ambassador, actress Svetlana Khodchenkova

 

You are one of the most talented women in modern Russian cinema, and we are very proud of you. You've probably met many beautiful and great women - both at work and as Bvlgari Ambassador. Who surprised you the most? 

It was Meryl Streep. I met her a few years ago at a major social event, where she was one of the hosts. The table behind which I was sitting was located near the stage. And I listened with an open mouth. She has incredible energy! In addition to being a great actress, whom I would like to be equal to, she is also incredibly beautiful. When the evening was coming to an end, a huge crowd of people lined up around her to talk and take a picture. I'm a wildly shy person and I would never have dared to speak to her or ask for an autograph. Then my friend came to her bodyguards. When Meryl heard that I was an actress from Russia, she suddenly said that she wanted to meet me! It turned out that she has Russian roots. She came to me, we talked for a while, hugged each other, kissed each other, wished each other good luck. I still have goose bumps when I tell this story.

There are quite a lot of tiaras at the Bvlgari exhibition. We all watched the wedding of Meghan and Harry. How do you feel about all this excitement around the royal family?

I watched their wedding! And every time I read about them, I catch myself thinking that I'm smiling. It's the story of an actress who became a princess. It is clear that I somehow try it on myself. Would I like to be in her place? I think millions of girls want it! This is a real fairy tale! . I remember how I learned about the existence of two British princes as a child - and for some reason I was sure that I would marry William. (Laughs.)

And we are sure that you would have every chance! The main thing is to be in the right place at the right time. And how do you manage to combine infernal work schedule and personal life?

I Can not. Moreover, the state of love and happiness does not always help me in my work. I sometimes need someone to irritate - and I do it consciously - to make me feel good in my work. Sometimes I behave like a real vampire.

Are there decorations with which you do not leave?

I can go out without rings and earrings, but can not without the watch and something on my neck. They say that somewhere here (shows the solar plexus.) The soul is attached, and I like that it is always covered with something.

And what about the saying: "Lovers are traditionally careless of time"?

Happy people just have different time. The more, say, lovers, spend time together - the better. At me it is difficult with it - by virtue of the professional duties, I should be always and everywhere in time, therefore behind hours always I watch closely. I get physically hurt if I'm late. And when someone is late, I'm like a wild animal!

And do you believe in power of stones?

I have not checked myself yet. But I know that it's not we who choose stones, but stones choose us. And this can depend on both the mood and the energy. Sometimes, you come to the box to take a specific piece of jewelry, and  in the end, choose another. And with it you will feel good and comfortable.
