Victoria's Secret has abandoned its "angels", who for decades have paraded down the catwalk in stilettos and luxurious outfits embellished with stones and branded wings. According to The New York Times , she instead launched a campaign featuring women known for their accomplishments rather than their forms.

The brand's new faces include soccer player Megan Rapino , freestyle skier Eileen Goo, model and lawyer Paloma Essler, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, transgender model Valentina Sampaio, South Sudanese model and refugee Adut Akech, and journalist and photographer Amanda de Cadene. As the newspaper notes, such an extreme transition from images of sexual "angels" to the slogan "What women want" is an attempt to rethink the idea of what sexuality is.
