ANJA RUBIK VALUES INTELLECT ABOVE ALL OTHER PERSONAL QUALITIES. TODAY SHE IS NOT JUST A POPULAR MODEL AND THE NEW FACE OF KERASTASE’S L’lNCROYABLE BLOWDRY, BUT ALSO A MAGAZINE PUBLISHER
HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO STAY AFLOAT IN THE WORLD OF FASHION?
My principle is to use experience as a possibility for growth. But I also try to listen to my intuition — and it never lets me down.
WHAT NEGATIVE ASPECTS HAVE YOU ENCOUNTERED IN YOUR WORK?
Rejections... When people say ‘no’ to you, it’s very difficult to take yourself in hand and move on. But you mustn't forget that this is part of our industry and part of life in general. Every rejection only makes you stronger.
WHAT ELSE DO YOU DO IN ADDITION TO MODELLING?
For me it’s important to discover new horizons and take on new challenges. In addition to my modelling career, I have several projects which are close to my heart. My pet project is 25 Magazine — an annual publication devoted to young artists. On top of that, I also have my own perfume — Original — for which I took part in eveiy stage of its creation, from the composition to the design. ♦
