You can have a reimagined Millennium Falcon in the comfort of your own home In Singapore thanks to Grafunkt's collaboration with Disney.
The local furniture brand and retailer is gearing up for the 14 December release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the next installment in the sequel trilogy. Grafunkt's solution to the Star Wars craze is to design four limited edition stools and side tables in marble. Each piece is modelled after the TIE-Fighter, Millennium Falcon, Sandcrawler and AT-AT, with the first two representing the light and dark sides. Meanwhile, Sandcrawler and AT-AT were chosen for their iconic architectural elements — heck, the earlier has even inspired the Lucasfilm Animation building in Singapore.
With their angular shapes, these structural stools and side tables look at home in a stylish, contemporary setting. But only a true Star Wars fan will be able to recognise the pop culture iconography in Grafunkt's pieces — an entire generation's heart and soul immortalised in furniture.
Available from 1 December at Takashimaya Star Wars pop-up store, Grafunkt and The Artling. Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be in theatres from 14 December.
