Russian models Sasha Pivovarova and Sofia Steinberg painted self-portraits for the cover of June Vogue. The new issue of the magazine is dedicated to art - to create it, the editors invited artists, illustrators and sculptors.

“Today, as in the Renaissance, we need multitalented persons. Therefore, the heroines of our June covers are not just models, living mannequins demonstrating clothes. They are also charismatic, cheerful people and real artists and muses ", - told Masha Fedorova, editor-in-chief of the Russian edition.

“My daughter has an art education - she graduated from art school № 30. This is her drawing style, she has not the only such picture,” the woman said.

Model Sasha Pivovarova is also fond of painting and regularly paints pictures that can be viewed at her website... She created her portrait while at home in New York.

“Having invited Sasha [Pivovarova] and [Sofia] Steinberg to paint self-portraits, we entrusted them to make a revolution: for the first time in Vogue, you see not how fashion photographers look at heroines, but how they see themselves”
