Movie Stars Had a Flamboyant Romance in the Early 1990s

Hollywood actress Winona Ryder spoke for the first time in detail about her experiences immediately after breaking up with Johnny Depp in the mid-1990s. According to the actress, what happened had a severe effect on her psyche, and Winona was then so ill that she practically stopped taking care of herself, reports Page Six .

The 50-year-old actress admitted that her state of mind in those months was reminiscent of the situation with her character from the movie Girl, Interrupted, where Ryder played a patient in a psychiatric hospital.

Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp met in 1989, after five months of dating they got engaged, but a few years later they broke up, unable to withstand the attention of the press to themselves. Subsequently, the actress described her relationship with Depp as "a fierce love that is unlikely to be experienced again."

Ryder never married after that, and Depp had an infamous marriage to actress Amber Heard, which ended in a scandalous divorce and a recent libel trial. During the trial, Winona testified in favor of the actor, confirming that he never raised a hand against her.

We previously revealed that Johnny Depp will not be returning as Captain Jack Sparrow.
