Trump, Putin, Kadyrov and other politicians, who starred in the movies


In 2017, Vladimir Putin became the hero of the documentary by Oliver Stone. But it turned out that the Russian president previously starred in the films - in the 70s as a stuntman. We remembered who else from high-ranking politicians starred in the movies. 

Vladimir Putin

The first experience of filming in a movie Vladimir Putin received in the 70-ies of the last century. The future president was involved in industry as a stuntman in the film "Izhora Battalion" and "Blockade". He set it up with then section judo mate Arkady Rotenberg, who now occupies 39th place in Forbes rating of «200 richest businessmen of Russia". Putin on set was like an athlete. In those years, the studio did not have a full team of stuntmen, and the shooting attracted members of various sections - wrestlers, fencers, riders and climbers. According to Nikolai Vaschilin, that since the mid '60s worked as a stunt director at "Lenfilm", stunt received 10 rubles for one day of shooting.

Donald Trump

President Donald Trump has dozens of roles in films and serials. Not so much as his predecessor Ronald Reagan, but still. However, almost everywhere Trump played himself. The American leader has appeared in small roles in the movie "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York", in the TV series, in the comedy "Zoolander", in the film "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," and so on. Trump has acting awards under his belt. For his role in the film "Ghosts can't do it," the US president has been nominated for the "Golden Raspberry" as worst supporting actor. And he won!

Justin Trudeau

In the fall of 2015, Justin Trudeau became the new Prime Minister of Canada, and at the same time a favorite of the media who write about politics and found similarities with Prince Eric from "The Little Mermaid" and notices his funny "non-protocol" wear at formal events. Prior to enter politics, Trudeau worked as a teacher, Snowboard instructor, radio broadcaster and actor. In 2007, Trudeau has starred in "The Great War" mini-series about Canada's participation in the First World War. Future prime minister played a lawyer from Quebec Talbot Mercer Papineau, killed during the Battle of Passchendaele near Ypres in October 1917.

Vaclav Havel

The last president of Czechoslovakia and the first president of Czech Republic Vaclav Havel was born into a family that owned several movie companies, "Lyutsernafilm" and "Barrandov". This led to the fact that since childhood, Václav was drawn to the world of cinema, and at the age of 30 for the first time tried his hand as an actor. Havel's debut comedy was "Every young person" ("Kazdy mlady muz"). Also, shortly before the death the politician tried himself in the role of director. In summer 2011, his film was presented in the program of the Moscow Film Festival. But Havel himself could not attend the show because of a serious illness.

Ramzan Kadyrov

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov has also tried his hand on the set. He got the main role in the film "Who does not understand, he will understand." In the spring of 2015, Kadyrov posted on his Instagram post about this film. "This action-movie, in which, after lengthy negotiations, I agreed to perform the role of the protagonist. Individual scenes have already been made. The director is the author of the famous Hollywood movies. Also the film with participation of the world biggest stars, "- wrote Kadyrov. A year earlier, the head of Chechnya starred in the short film "Magic crest". Kadyrov's hero found a helmet that moved him to a different era.
