Alisher Usmanov and Irina Viner

On Wednesday, July 6, it became known about the divorce of the Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov and the president of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner. The couple separated after 30 years of marriage. Viner personally announced that she had divorced on the air of the Match TV channel.

The initiator of the divorce was Usmanov. The oligarch filed an application with the court on May 4. The fact that he went to court meant two things - either he and his wife have unresolved property disputes, or Irina refuses to give him a divorce. There was a third theoretical option - the presence of minor children. However, Usmanov and Wiener do not have such.

On July 6, Russian media reported that the billionaire withdrew the statement from the court. Rumors spread that Usmanov changed his mind about getting a divorce. However, in the evening, Irina Viner publicly stated that they filed a divorce at the registry office.

The American Forbes magazine estimates Alisher Usmanov's fortune at $11.5 billion. He is one of the richest people in Russia. Usmanov owns MegaFon, Metalloinvest and others. The oligarch was one of the first to be included in the US and EU sanctions lists. Earlier, "FACTS" reported on the divorce of American billionaire Bill Gates . And at the end of June, Australian tycoon Rupert Murdoch decided to part with his wife.
