Usually these are puffy skirts, girly leggings with hearts and dresses in the style of Disney princesses - the baby prefers something pink and shiny. The wardrobe of a dark-skinned boy, adopted by a screen star in infancy, has been shocking the public for more than a year. Most of the mothers of the planet, looking at pictures of Jackson in dresses and bows, are perplexed: what does Charlize think, and who does she raise? The editors of the Daily Mail decided to ask this question to the actress .

In an interview with the British publication, Charlize Theron told why she decided to dress her son as a girl. The actress assures that her child is not a boy, and he realized this quite early. The star believes that she has two daughters - Jackson and his three-year-old sister Augusta. “Yeah, I thought he was a boy too,” Charlize says. - Until at the age of three he looked at me and said: "I'm not a boy!". That's all! I have two beautiful daughters who, like any parent, I want to protect and see as successful.

- When they grow up, they themselves will understand what they want to be. I have no right to decide this for them, - says Theron. - My responsibility as a parent is to love them and provide everything they need so that they grow up and understand who they want to be. And I will do everything in my power to ensure that my children have this right and are protected.

Charlize calls her mother Gerda, whose family life has become a real tragedy, her source of inspiration. The father of the future star was an aggressive alcoholic who beat his wife. When Charlize was 16, Gerda shot her drunken husband with a gun in self-defense in front of her daughter. Following her daughter, she moved from her native Cape Town to the USA and lives in America for an hour.

Charlize Theron adopted a baby named Jackson in 2012 in South Africa. The actress was born and raised in this country, so she deliberately decided to bring up a black baby. And three years later, the star adopted a dark-skinned girl, Augusta.

Since Charlize broke up with her civil husband, actor Stuart Townsend, and broke off her engagement to the main Hollywood heartthrob Sean Penn, her personal life has been in complete calm. From time to time, the actress is credited with novels (the latter with the newly-made bachelor Brad Pitt), but they turn out to be just rumors. The other day, Charlize admitted that her heart is free.

- I've been alone for about ten years. It's just that someone should "grow" me a couple and let me know. I am absolutely available, - admitted Theron at the CinemaCon Awards in Las Vegas.
