All the attention of 34-year-old hockey player Alexander Ovechkin is now focused on the family: last week the athlete became a father for the second time and now cares not only about son Sergei (in the summer he will celebrate his second birthday) , but also about the newborn heir Ilya. Shortly before his birth, Ovechkin talked about fatherhood as part of an advertising campaign for a cosmetic brand.

When I first took little Seryozha in my arms, incredible tenderness was born in me, and I realized that it was tenderness that was real strength. Tenderness in everything: in the look, in the movements, thoughts and words. Tenderness that overwhelms and makes us really strong, - said Alexander in the frame.

He and Anastasia, the daughter of actress Vera Glagoleva and businessman Kirill Shubsky, have been together for five years. Six months after the beginning of the affair, the couple announced their engagement, and a year later they registered a marriage. The wedding celebration had to be postponed due to the preparation of the athlete for the World Cup, but a year later it took place in Barvikha, near Moscow. In the summer of 2018, the couple had a son, Sergei. Speaking about the family, Ovechkin admitted that he wants it to expand.
